light for herbert hamak, 2007
museo di castelvecchio, verona
racconto

special outdoor led spotlights were manufactured by Viabizzuno to illuminate herbert hamak's works. 18 parallelepiped blocks 4-metres long, made of resin with a deep blue pigment were made for the studio la città gallery and laid sideways between the swallow-tailed merlons of the castle's walkways, modern signs, blue lines outlining a historical setting. the installation, although especially thought-out to interact with natural light, stands out particularly during the night hours. the spotlights are fitted between the merlons and the blue volumes, with the result that they become almost luminous and intense blue blades at night, as if they were sentinels in the dark night of verona.
